Hello and thank you for being here!

I’m Terry Coburn (formerly known as Terry Cockburn ... yes, I dropped the Scottish silent "ck" with my sons' blessings) and I'm passionate about helping people cultivate vitality and balance through movement and mindful practices. My journey started with high-energy pursuits like sports, marathons, and outdoor adventures. Over time, I discovered the profound benefits of Meditation, Yin Yoga, and Qigong – practices which helped me slow down and find deeper harmony. These approaches now guide how I teach, offering people accessible ways to connect with their bodies and build resilience.

For over 25 years, I’ve worked in the fitness and yoga industries, coaching individual athletes and teams at all levels—from high school to elite. My background includes certifications as a running coach (RRCA) and personal trainer (NASM), alongside decades of experience as a yoga teacher and educator (E-RYT 500). For nine years, I owned and directed Freeport Yoga Company in Freeport, Maine; a vibrant community studio that celebrated connection through practice. 🧡


In addition to teaching, I facilitate groups for women focusing on health, inner strength, and well-being. I also advocate for survivors of domestic abuse, creating supportive spaces where people can reclaim their strength and autonomy.

Although my studio closed during the pandemic, I’ve transitioned to teaching online, connecting with students from around the world. What I love most about this work is seeing those moments of transformation—when someone discovers new strength, ease, or self-awareness. My goal is to support people in exploring their potential and finding balance in ways that feel meaningful to them.

I live in the breathtaking State of Maine, which is my favorite place on earth. Along with being a proud sports mom to two collegiate-level baseball pitchers, I’m also enjoying life as a dog mom to Birdie, my ever-growing lab/poodle puppy.
